Picked up this record from the $1 sale bin at the library, but the best part was the conversation with an older woman nearby who saw me perusing the record selection and asked if I knew where age could buy a turntable needle so she could listen to her collection of albums that she hadn’t listened to in decades. We chatted a bit about local record stores, prices of vinyl records these days, and Sinatra vs. Crosby Christmas albums. She assured me that all of her records were still in great shape—“Well, except for one. But that wasn’t my fault.” Sadly the conversation ended before I could find out more about this one mysteriously damaged record. . .It will have to be left to all of our imaginations what terrible fate befell it at the hands of another.
