About
I’m a Christian (grew up Presbyterian, now Anglican). I’m a wife and mother of three kids. I’m a neonatal intensive care (NICU) nurse happily working the night shift. I’m a lifelong Midwesterner who’s settled down in Minnesota.
I love to read and spend probably more time than I should with my nose in a book. I love to garden (fruit, perennials, and native plants are my particular favorites to grow). I love good food. In a former life, I was a film major, and while I watch vastly fewer movies now than in college, I still love movies and television. I don’t care for podcasts or audio books. I love women’s college volleyball (Let’s go, Huskers!). I love clothes and art and photography and music and vinyl records and downhill skiing and lifting weights and coffee and bourbon and sitting quietly outside. If I get into something, I tend to get really into it.
I have been blogging on and off for decades (mostly “off” for the past ten years or so), and now I’m trying to move the bulk of my online thoughts and photos to this website, rather than sprinkled across various social media accounts. Welcome, and I’d love to hear from you any time.
